The 2025 Ford Mustang GTD is the most powerful Mustang to ever leave the Blue Oval production line. Its performance highlights include a supercharged V8, outstanding maneuverability, and insane stopping power.

Thunderous Engine

A barely street-legal, supercharged 5.2L Predator V8 sits under the hood of the Mustang GTD. It is the most powerful engine ever placed in a production Mustang, churning out 815 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. Several motorsport-grade technologies, such as a dry-sump oil system, ensure that the engine’s power delivery remains consistent across extreme driving conditions.

Dual-Clutch Transmission

To manage the Predator V8’s mighty power, Ford engineers equipped the Mustang GTD with a state-of-the-art 8-speed dual clutch transmission. It connects the gears to two separate clutches, ensuring that the next gear is always pre-selected and ready for shifting. This prevents interruptions in power delivery, which in turn lowers your lap times. The transmission system comes with a rear-mounted transaxle, which offsets the engine’s weight and improves balance.

Extreme Aerodynamic Efficiency

The Mustang GTD’s aerodynamically efficient design enables it to reach a vision-blurring top speed of 202 mph. It sports a traditional fastback silhouette and a wide, sculpted body that allow it to slice through drag effortlessly. Additionally, the supercar features an innovative Drag Reduction System that actively adjusts the underbody flaps and aero rear wing to optimize downforce generation and drag reduction.

Exceptional Maneuverability

The Mustang GTD cleared all 73 turns of the Nürburgring circuit in only 6 minutes and 52 seconds. The supercar’s maneuverability comes from its outstanding strength-to-weight ratio and exceptional stability. This is achieved through the use of lightweight carbon fiber in the driveshaft, body panels, aero rear wing, and underbody aerodynamic tray.

The Mustang GTD’s cornering capabilities are further enhanced by its state-of-the-art suspension system and Multimatic DSSV technology. The setup provides precise adaptive damping as well as excellent lateral stiffness, enhancing the supercar’s grip and reducing body roll. The suspension system also comes with an exclusive dual-ride height feature that allows drivers to lower the Mustang GTD’s chassis by 40 mm on demand.

Tremendous Stopping Power

Standard Brembo performance gives drivers the confidence to push the supercar to its limits, knowing that they can bring the vehicle to a quick halt if needed. The brake system consists of six-piston front calipers and large rotors that, together, produce monstrous amounts of friction. Multi-purpose fender vents blow cool air through the front wheels as the supercar moves to prevent the brake setup from overheating.
